NEW YORK -- A man who beat two of his dachshunds to death and buried one in a yard was indicted Wednesday on cruelty charges, animal protection authorities said.

As a pet psychologist, Rich Gingery has been called everything from "the dog whisperer" to "crazy." But Gingery, officially called an animal behaviorist, has a knack for understanding his furry, feathered and sometimes scaly clients.
